Private Bobbitt enlisted for three years or the war in
Fayette County in April of 1862. He died
in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on June 23, 1862. At this time the regiment has
proceeded into Tennessee with the Army of Tennessee. His death left a wife and four children without a father.
