I think this man may served in Company K of the 8th
Florida Infantry. Company K was made up of men from Hillsborough County. Polk County was formed from
Hillsborough and Brevard. William Willingham enlisted in the CSA at Fort Brook
near Tampa in 1862. He was wounded at Gettysburg and remained absent without
leave.
