A Private James P. Webb enlisted in Company C of the 7th Alabama Infantry  in Center, Alabama on March 29, 1861. By 1863 James P. Webb was in Company H of the 19th Alabama and was wounded in the battle at Murfreesboro and also at Chickamauga. His widows pension application states that he was wounded somewhere in Kentucky and at Murfreesboro. She states that he was killed near Atlanta in 1865 and in another document she states that it as was near Atlanta in 1864, which is more likely than 1865.
