Samuel enlisted in 1861 in the Pickens Planters, a local company that mustered into the 41st Alabama Infantry. He died in Murfreesboro on November 9, 1862.th is  Cause of dea is unknown.

A member of the original Pickens Grays Aaron Hawkins was elected by his company as there Second Lieutenant on June 2, 1862. He was promoted to First Lieutenant by the end of the month. First Lieutenant Hawkins was killed at Chickamauga. Martin Luther Stancel, Colonel of the 41st Alabama, said that Hawkins fell while bravely leading his men on the works of the enemy. On the morning of September 20 Stancel’s regiment was in the line of battle in Helm’s Brigade of Breckinridge’s Division on Bragg’s right.

Isaac Gilbert 

Isaac Gilbert is thought to be buried in Redwine Cove Cemetery in an unmarked grave. He served in Company K of the 14th Georgia. He listed in 1862 and served until being captured at Petersburg. He was a prisoner of war at Point Lookout, Maryland.

William Nix is marked with a Southern Cross of Honor. His pension record indicates that he joined Company A of the Roswell Battalion in 1863 and served until the end of the war. This was a local defense cavalry unit.

Private Ones was captured at Missionary Ridge on November 25, 1863. He was transported to Louisville, Kentucky and then Rock Island in December. He contracted variola (smallpox0 and died. He was buried south of the prison barracks in grave 823

Private Fuller died in General Hospital in Lynchburg,Virginia on March 3, 1862 of rubelola (measles). There is a record of his burial on March 6, this would indicate he was buried in Virginia. However, there are two memorials to him in Antioch.

The grave of Henry Baldwin was marked with a Southern Cross of Honor in 2017.  He was a member of Company C of the 41st Georgia Infantry. 

He was discharged from service in 1864 for health reasons.
