I visited this cemetery back in the early 1980’s when I was trying to locate the graves of CSA soldiers in back roads of west Alabama. I would naturally record the standard CSA markers and those tombstones that identified the man as a Confederate soldier. I would also record the name and vitals of the men born between 1810 and 1848. I would then search for these men in company rosters, regimental accounts, and other sources.
I have chosen to preserve the original formatting that I used in the 1980’s. Unfortunately, I did not record complete dates of birth and death, so the vital information is somewhat lacking. In the case of unit designations determined by research I have included footnotes of the sources.
The cemetery locations are as I originally described them. I will also use coordinates from the GNIS database when I feel comfortable that it applies. I do not have pictures as this was also the pre-digital age.

I have been visiting cemeteries and locating the graves of Confederate soldiers most of my life. Since 2009 I have specifically cataloged Confederate soldiers that were marked as such in cemeteries I visit. I also record veterans from other wars and tombstones that really interest me. June 2021: I would love to know who visits this page and what did you think about the work. Please leave a comment or drop me a quick note (greg_green@bellsouth.net)
