Bass enlisted in 1863 in the 46th Georgia Infantry. He died in a skirmish near Atlanta on August 9, 1864.

It is possible that Williamson enlisted late in the war in the 3rd Georgia Infantry Reserve at Camp Sumter (Andersonville). Part of this militia-type unit was sent to Macon and Camp Lawton. They may have been present at the battle of Griswoldville on November 22, 1864 in Jones County.

His headstone is broken and his name and date of death is gone. R.H.W. on his footstone. He served in Co.A 3rd Regiment Georgia Cavalry.

George Whitton Keith


George rests behind a stone that only reads George. George Keith enlisted in Company G 27th Georgia Infantry in 1861. He marched north to Virginia with the regiment. He served as a musician. Upon reaching Virginia he fell ill and was furloughed to return home sick. He died on or about July 155, 1862 in North Carolina.

This is a survey of Pippen Family Cemetery in Jones County, Georgia using the Find A Grave memorial page for the cemetery. The cemetery page contains 3 memorials. There are no photographs. 


Description of Cemetery: Small family cemetery has only one marked grave; however, there is one stone pile mausoleum and markers and other evidence many other graves. Located on private property (Watts) you have to have permission to view it. The property is near the Jarrell Plantation. Dist. 12 Land Lot 183 (Find A Grave Memorial 2505008)
