Lieutenant Brindley was a member of Company B of Russell’s 4th Alabama Calvary. He was captured at Shelbyville Tennessee on June 27, `863. He was sent to Nashville, Louisville, Kentucky, Johnson Island, and Pt. Lookout, Maryland as a prisoner of war. On March 10, 1864 he was exchanged and then there was not another record.

John Milton Curry enlisted in Company F on August 1, 1863. He was enlisted by a Colonel Culberson in Chattooga County, Georgia. He was paid 48.80 for the use of his horse. Nothing else was found about him. There are records of a John Curry being captured and paroled after the date of death.

John enlisted in Company C of Moore’s Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers on April 1, 1862 in Aberdeen. This regiment became the 43rd Mississippi Infantry and John was elected 3rd Lieutenant of Company C, Whitfield Guards commanded by John W. Vesay. He died in hospital in Okolona, Mississippi, August 14, 1862. There is no record of cause of death.  He was married to Mary W. Holloway of Athens in Monroe County.

Pvt. Littrell’s military record is preserved at 3-Fold. He enlisted in Company A of Gantt’s 9th Battalion of Tennessee Calvary. On March 16, 1864 he is recorded in a muster at Tunnel Hill, Georgia as sick in the hospital. Eli died and the Quartermaster Corp took charge of $6.25. There is a receipt from a Capt McLean for this amount. This is the final record for Eli Littrell.
